iPhone 5 Will Use Liquidmetal material?

A new report from South Korea's reported claim that Apple is planning to use the Liquidmetal alloys in the next generation iPhone on the glass that is in current iPhone models.

The new material will allow the device to be thinner and lighter, and will also be more resistant to damage.

Cupertino-based company has obtained a patent for Liquidmetal Technologies'''' amorphous metal alloys in August 2010, and shortly after that looking for engineers to immediately work with the material.

According to sources who spoke with ETNews, the next iPhone is expected to be unveiled at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco this June.
