DDR3 which is a type of memory found on a new computer now, slower and less efficient than the standard DDR4. DDR4 memory is expected to be issued a power of 1.2 volts compared to 1.5 volts for DDR3. Bus speed will start at 2133MHz. The new memory is designed to process the reading, writing and refresh more efficient than its predecessor.
Joint Electron Devices Engineering Council, an organization that sets the standard memory is expected to complete the final specification for the standard DDR4 coming months, after that Micron will start mass production of DDR4 at the end of this year.
DDR4 memory will appear first on the new server computer desktop and laptop then followed. DDR4 Memory Micron hope that this will be used in tablets and other portable devices that are now using lower-power version of DDR2 and DDR3 memory.
