Before going through this step one should consider the advantages of also having a copy of Windows on the system because there are still many functionalities that only work with Windows. Always being able to go back and use Windows for a certain application is something that can be valuable. It's understandable when you have a small hard drive that you might need to get rid of it as it takes up quite a bit of space, but don't throw it out just yet even if you love Linux.
