This was done Google in an event in San Francisco. The event on behalf of the Chrome team was expected to be an excellent official releases Chrome OS.
Apparently, as quoted from The Register, Wednesday (12/08/2010), Chrome OS just postponed. Original plan, Chrome the OS will be present at the end of 2010 or early 2011.
Now, according to Google, Chrome netbook device with the new OS will be available in mid-2011. Two leading manufacturers, Acer and Samsung, will menggawanginya.
Sundar Pichai, VP Product Management of Google, said the entire netbook with Chrome the OS will be equipped with 3G connectivity capabilities. In the U.S., Google was already working with carrier Verizon Wireless.
Not only for end users, Google is also targeting the corporate and business as users of Chrome OS. One of them through cooperation with Citrix Systems.
