Kal El Nvidia, Quad Core Processor for Mobile

Qualcomm just showing off quad-core processor for mobile phones, rival Nvidia did not want to lose. They introduced the 'Kal El', quad-core processors ready for mobile phones and tablets.

"The world will see quad-core processors raise standards, deliver higher performance and is suitable for all mobile platforms," said Phil Carmack, senior vice president of Nvidia.

And Kal El comic character whose name is similar to this only the beginning. Nvidia released the ambitious roadmap for the year 2014, with chips named Wayne, Logan and Stark that claimed to offer the processing power 100 times faster than Tegra 2, Nvidia's current flagship processor.

While Kal El alone has five times the graphics performance of greater than Tegra 2, so as to support extreme definition monitors, 2560 x 1600.
Simply amazing.

Quoted from PCMag, Thursday (17/02/2011), Kal-El could be a life-style tablet retinal screen-based Apple. So, users can enjoy a 10 inch tablet screen with very high performance.

Apparently, this processor will make the phone into a PC primer for users. Questions were referred to qualified business playing games, where games such as the Great Battle Medieval looks very smooth and realistic in the demo with Kal El.

Then how the power consumption? Carmack promised not higher than Tegra 2. Kal El plan would begin to be used for the tablet in August. As for mobile phones by the end of 2011.
