Konami's words is not without reason, Shinji Enomoto, as PES makers recognize that there are two elements in the PES which makes it similar to a fighting game, offense and defense. Only two of these elements does not involve players in a real fight.
"It has nothing to do between fighting game with a soccer ball, but the soccer players must also be able to read the opponent's attack and defense. This is tantamount to a fight," said Enomoto, quoted from Eurogamer, Saturday (19/02/2011) .
Similar leveled Satoru Iwata as the number one on the SEGA on the same occasion. For him, it is very important for football gamers to be able to read how the system of attack and defense of his opponent.
