IPAD and iPhone Will Use Chip Dual-Mode?

Once the iPhone officially comes to CDMA, an issue back blows. To be more efficient, Apple is rumored to want to switch to dual-mode chipset from Qualcomm.

Currently, the iPhone and iPad using chipsets from Infineon for its wireless communications. But according to the news circulated, quoted from Engadget, Saturday (01/15/2011), Apple will switch to Qualcomm.

The goal, Apple did not want to have to make two types of devices to different networks. As practiced today, with the iPhone version of GSM and CDMA iPhone.

That said, Qualcomm's soon to provide dual-mode chipset that can run on both networks. This certainly will be easier than the production side.
