Adobe Offer Control Cookies

Adobe provide updates to help users manage their privacy while using the Flash Player. Among them, there is an option to remove local storage or function called Flash cookies and management arrangements that are easier.

Indeed, cookies function enables users to remember login details through the website or preference data files stored on your computer's browser. But most computer users now understand the risks shown cookies.

 


Because cookies can be used to track your visitors access to various websites and many of the advertisers who use it for advertising purposes or analyze Internet surfing habits.

As reported by PC Mag and quoted on Friday (14/01/2011), Flash cookies, or the local shared objects (LSO) recently highlighted when the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) released a report which requested that the browser makers to include options
'do not track' on their products. The FTC also mention the name of Adobe's because he thinks these cookies that are collected by the Flash regardless of browser settings.

"The use of local storage of data raises questions regarding privacy. Therefore we are continuously working to make sure the users have better control on the local data stored applications that run on Flash Player," said Emmy Huang as Group Product Manager Flash Player.

Adobe has added the option of browsing in-private in Flash Player 10.1, allows users to surf the Internet and play video content without worrying about their browsing activity tracked.
Going forward, users can also remove LSO from their browser settings.

Huang says, users can also access the Flash Player Settings Manager directly from the Control Panels or System Preferences on a Windows computer, Mac and Linux.
