Microsoft Warns New Cracks in Windows

A new bug has been discovered in Windows that allows hackers to insert malicious applications in it. It was also acknowledged Microsoft and plans to soon release a patch to fix it.

Gap had actually already been disclosed to the internet security conference title in North Korea December 15, 2010. But after a lot of applications that can exploit the bug, Microsoft has noticed recently.

When infected then the attacker can freely steal data, took over the network, to make a victim's computer like 'zombie'. This is of course very inconvenient, especially if many users store personal data about a kind of internet banking.

While waiting the latest patch released, Microsoft recommends users to narrow down the activity on file shimgvw.dll, ie the component whose task is to create a thumbnail image.
